A sketch in January 2017 was a working processor by December, with Tim Draper behind it.

CyberSwarm is developing what it describes as the first processor dedicated to cybersecurity, built to protect connected devices against attack.

What was a sketch in January 2017 was a working product by December of the same year. The company has seed funding from Tim Draper through Draper Associates, is testing an early version with first adopters, and is in pre-sale discussions with a large corporation. Several patents have been filed.

On the investor, the company describes it as a dream come true to find someone who respects a startup’s work and leaves it enough freedom.

The memristor work that the engine runs on today started in this period, which is why the earliest coverage of CyberSwarm describes a cybersecurity company.
